From our first visit to WeatherEye vineyard in the summer of 2018—before a single grape had been harvested—we knew it was a special place. We were so impressed with both the vineyard, and the team of Cam Myhrvold and Ryan Johnson behind it, that we immediately set about planning a new label.

This, of course, was LIMINAL. And that first vintage, 2018, turned out to be one of the best Washington vintages in memory. The wines were spectacular, and we couldn’t wait to share them with all of you. Unfortunately, our first release party was planned for spring of 2020. The less said about that the better, we all know the story. But thanks to the great interest in our project, and the huge support of our customers, we were able to sell through the wines and get them to people by putting them in their trunks and waving from a distance. Not ideal.

The 2019 vintage was a similar story, though we were able to have many of you out in careful and mindful tasting events. We introduced our new Block 10 Cabernet Franc and Block 47 Cabernet Sauvignon, which received great reviews, and the extremely limited quantities sold out almost immediately.

As we look toward the release of the 2020 wines, we decided it was time to rethink and refresh our release structure. We’ve listened to your feedback and have acknowledged the barriers that have made it difficult to access and try these wines. There hasn’t been enough opportunity, and we haven’t been able to present the wines with the high touch experience they deserve. And you deserve.

So, we've made some changes that we hope will simplify things. Beginning September 30:

• the LIMINAL tasting room will open on Fridays and Saturdays (for a limited time), 11AM-3PM, for guided tastings by reservation. Taste, purchase, and take wine home with you that day.

• you may pick up previously purchased orders, on Fridays and Saturdays, 11AM-3PM, at the LIMINAL production facility. This includes the 2020 vintage wines that were scheduled to release in April 2023.

Lastly, limited quantities of some of the 2020 vintage wines remain and are available for purchase, by the bottle. (That's right, you no longer have to purchase in 3-packs!) The available wines are 2020 High Canyon Syrah, 2020 Block 16 Syrah, 2020 Block 10 Cabernet Franc, and 2020 GSM. You'll find this additional offer in your account. Log in to your account here.
